The Gospel is more powerful than witchcraft
It was an excited team that went to Rusinga, Kenya. We were twelve Swedes and two Germans that had a five days Gospel Campaign on a peninsula in the lake of Victoria. There was a great darkness resting over this city due to the occultism and witchcraft that was practiced among the inhabitants.

The Pastors testified that the city was a center of witchcraft where people came from different cities to from afar to be a part of the so called blessing and power from these false prophets. A common way was that the people became night runners, which is a form of voodoo that makes people fall in trance and in that way receive spiritual power. But thank God, Jesus stepped down in this place of false religious, and the people from other religions and witchdoctors had to bow when God showed that the name of Jesus is above all other names.
Demons left screaming when God showed his mercy upon those who were bound and we saw lots of healings. The team members prayed for a teenage girl who had a broken wrist. After she broke it, the wrist had grown all twisted and she had not been able to move it. She came back the next day and gathered enough courage to come up and testify. She could now move the hand as usual and she told us that during the healing prayer fire came upon her arm and she knew that Jesus had done a miracle. The team member that had prayed for her testified how the swelling had disappeared during prayer. Many others testified how the fire of God had come upon them in the same way and how they had been healed and delivered.
When you bring a big team there can be a lot of challenges but the whole team has had an amazing positive attitude and has been working as one body. Every day the team went out in the streets and marketplaces, healing the sick, preached the gospel and prayed with hundreds to receive Jesus, hugged crying mothers and made hospitals become houses of prayers. Yes, the list can be made long with everything that has happened but one thing is for sure, Rusinga is transformed and it is also every team member, when they saw Jesus working through their mouths and hands.
The last day at the Fire Conference the Holy Spirit fell. All were changed, some were already baptized in the Holy Spirit but they had new dreams and visions in their mind. We also distributed Marcus’ book “The Final Lap of the great Commission”. After the Fire Conference we went to the lake of Victoria and baptized about thirty people and also there the Holy Spirit fell in a powerful way. We were all amazed about the work of the Lord. Today our Lord Jesus is the one carrying the keys to the city and the churches in Rusinga are hungry to continue the work we began. Our African coordinator Ben Okello has now planted a church there and will continue to work with the new believers.
