Chosen for a time like this
You don't need to be very prophetic to see that we are living in the last days. We all need to do our part to bring in the harvest. Now more than ever is God calling on us women to rise up and believe that we are chosen for a time like this. Let us follow the example of Esther in the Bible and take courage and respond to God's calling to save people!

Just imagine being chosen, not by any human but by God himself. Chosen to make Jesus known, the most important mission on earth. Chosen, no matter who you are or what your background look like. Chosen, for a time like this!
Esther was a simple, orphan girl who won God’s and the king’s favor. She became queen and lived in a palace when she heard the calling of God, through Mordecai’s voice, to enter the king’s palace to appeal for the Jewish people who were threatened to be exterminated. Esther hesitates in the beginning because it was forbidden to enter the palace without the king’s permission. Whoever did that would be killed. When she hesitates Mordecai raises his voice once more and says in Esther 4:14 “Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” When Esther hears this she realize that it is God who is calling on her and decides to enter the king’s palace. Even that it meant a risk for her own life she was willing to do her part to save the Jewish people.
Just like Esther we can also hesitate to believe and do great things for God. Maybe we also are afraid of what it will cost us. God gives Esther a second chance to say yes to what he calls her to do and she decides to do it. Even if you have hesitated to do what God has called you to do, I believe that you reading this is God’s way of reminding you to believe in Him and dare to do what he is calling you to do.
When we continue reading in the book of Esther we see a wonderful ending. Because Esther dared to go into the king’s palace the Jewish people was saved from destruction. Just like Esther’s, our mission is to save people. No matter what gifts God has put in you and whatever calling you have, we are all called to save other people by telling them about Jesus.
During the fourteen years I have been preaching and serving God I have realized that it isn’t about my own strength or power but my willingness to have the right heart. Second Chronicles 16:9 says: “For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. In this you have done foolishly; therefore from now on you shall have wars.”
You don’t need to be very prophetic to be able to se all signs that tell us that we are living in the last days. In these last days we are all needed to do our part of bringing in the harvest. I am convinced that now more than ever the Lord is calling on us women to join the harvest work. I am convinced that we will see how a big crowd of women rises up and, shoulder to shoulder with all men, take their position in the Kingdom of God. Let us, just like Esther, believe in God and dare to go and do whatever he calls us to do. Let us believe that we are chosen, for a time like this.
